Ubunifu InstituteEffective / reviewed: 4 September 2026Applies to the public website and relevant digitally supported relationships
01
Acceptance and applicable terms
By using the public website you agree to use it lawfully and consistently with these Terms. A specific course, event, Emporium transaction, research project, organizational engagement, partnership or other service may have additional approved terms. Where specific terms conflict with these general website terms, the specific signed or accepted instrument governs that relationship.
02
Accounts, identity and authority
Where an account is required, information must be accurate and credentials must be protected. A user may act only for themselves or for an organization/person they are authorised to represent. Registration, following, application, mentoring or participation does not create authority to bind Ubunifu or another party.
03
Foundation, Bootcamp and programme participation
Foundation signup creates an entry-learning relationship; it does not make a participant a Social Entrepreneur and does not guarantee Bootcamp admission. Social Entrepreneur status begins only after the applicable formal Bootcamp admission decision. Programme progression, assessment, Program Support/institutional funding and certification remain subject to the published rules and human-governed decisions.
04
Courses and creator-led learning
Course publication does not imply a regulated or accredited qualification unless that status is explicitly evidenced and stated. Creator IP, teaching obligations, attribution, revenue share and learner access are governed by the applicable creator and course instruments.
05
Emporium and commercial relationships
Listings may be offered by approved social enterprises or other authorised sellers under the applicable commercial model. Product descriptions, price, availability, delivery, warranties, returns, taxes and seller obligations are governed by the published offer and applicable transaction terms. A displayed item is not automatically in stock or cleared for every destination.
06
Launch Harambee and Program Support
Program Support or a Launch Harambee contribution is voluntary support. It does not create shares, ownership, repayment rights, interest, dividends, profit participation, voting rights or control over the enterprise. A supporter should not treat a contribution as a tax-deductible contribution or expect a tax invoice unless a specific verified legal basis expressly provides otherwise.
07
Research, Network and partner relationships
Research registration, partnership discussions, Network membership or introductions do not grant private-data, site, participant, IP, contracting or publication access. Ethics, consent, statutory licences, professional authority and enterprise/site approvals remain separate gates where applicable.
08
User content and acceptable conduct
- Do not submit unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, infringing, malicious or misleading material.
- Do not attempt unauthorised access, credential attacks, malicious uploads, scraping that disrupts service, impersonation, fraud or interference with the website or protected account services.
- Do not upload passwords, OTPs, full payment-card data or unnecessary sensitive information into ordinary public forms.
- Only publish or submit content that you have the right and authority to provide.
09
Intellectual property
Ubunifu branding, website interface, original text, graphics, databases and materials are protected to the extent provided by applicable law and contracts. Creator, researcher, partner, venture and third-party materials retain the rights defined by their respective instruments. Website access does not transfer ownership.
10
Availability, third parties and changes
Ubunifu may maintain, suspend or change website functions for security, compliance, operational or programme reasons. External payment, communication, mapping, cloud and partner services remain governed by their own availability and terms. A connector shown in configuration is not represented as live until activated and accepted.
11
Suspension, disputes and governing law
Access may be restricted or suspended where necessary to protect users, data, institutional integrity, payment evidence, legal obligations or platform security. These Terms are governed by applicable Kenyan law unless a specific contract lawfully provides otherwise. Use the Contact page to raise a dispute or request review before escalation through any available legal or regulatory route.
